You will fly from Kathmandu to Lukla on this day. Before your scheduled journey, your guide will accompany you to the international terminal. These flights are booked during the morning to guarantee you can land because the weather in Lukla may be quite challenging to interpret because of the wind in the afternoon. You will enjoy the greatest views of the mountains and the Himalayas if the weather is clear.
After you land, You will be supported by porters as you make your way to Phakding, descend to the Dudh Koshi River, pass through the villages of Chheplung, Ghat, Sano, and Thulo Gumela and Chorten, as well as the monasteries of Drangdrak Gompa and Pema Choling Gompa, all while taking in the breathtaking views of the Kumbila and sister summit Kusum Kanguru. The calming melody of the Dudh Koshi River will be there to accompany your journey as you travel with mules and other hikers. Phakding is the final stop before bed.
You'll be traveling to Namche Bazar, also known as the "capital of the Sherpas," today. After breakfast, take the trek through the towns of Zamphute and Tok Tok to see the morning sunlight beams sparkling Thamserku Peak. The trek crosses many suspension bridges, including the well-known Hillary Suspension Bridge, before passing the Dudh Koshi, a milky glacial river that flows up to Monjo. The route becomes quite difficult to climb uphill toward Jorsalle village as you enter the national park. But after a time, the tough trail rewards you with a magnificent view of Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Everest, and Nuptse.
After a short break, continuing on a tough route upward towards Namche Bazaar until you reach an incredible high bridge that crosses the Dudhkoshi River valley. Just before this bridge, the Dudhkoshi River meets its branch, the Bhote Koshi. You'll get your first view of Mount Everest as you ascend, gazing over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge; Namche is just a short climb from here.
You will have a day off after getting to Namche Bazaar to adapt the weather. Over the next four days, the journey will take you over 4,000 meters. Since there may be significant health risks that are associated with motion sickness, relaxing will be our primary aim at that time.
Even though it is a rest day, you may take a little excursion in the hills above Namchebazar in the direction of the village of Syangboche. You will go to the Everest View Hotel, which is one of the greatest deluxe hotels in the world. You could even enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Mount Everest, Nuptse, Kwange, Kangtega, Lhotse, Taboche, and Khumbila from the hotel's balcony.
We take a path from Namche to Tengboche. The trail from Namche to Tengboche is referred as the most beautiful trekking route on whole Everest Base Camp Trek. You will reach Phungithanga as you continuouslly walk your way down the mountainside above the Dudh Koshi River. The lovely route changes into a more difficult uphill trek as you cross Phungithanga. Before reaching Tengboche, you must cross the Imja Khola, a tributary of the Dudh Koshi River, which is covered by a rhododendron forest.
Tengboche is famous for its Buddhist temple, Tengboche Monastery. It is indeed a historic monastery at a high altitude with spectacular views of the Everest region. Make sure to check out the monastery's incredible paintings and statues. You may get a close-up view of Ama Dablam as well as the nearby mountains, which include Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse.
Following the Imja Khola after an early breakfast, the path climbs up towards the village of Shemar and passes the tree line, changing the environment to desert, dry areas with spots of coniferous trees, scrub, and isolated agricultural lands.
You will continue the lower route to the Imja Khola bank as you reach the next town, Orsho. Just before you reach Dingboche, there are several chortens, mani walls, and prayer flags. After crossing a modest mountain, you will finally arrive at the expansive village of Dingboche, which is in a windy, frigid region with nighttime lows of 0 degrees even in the summer.
The village has a variety of viewpoint spots that are excellent for acclimatization trips; this is your second day of acclimatization. Nagarjun Hill, which rises gradually from Dingboche to its top at 5,100 meters, gives stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lobuche, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cholatse, and Kangtega.
You have the option to explore the village on something like a lovely walk if you are in great condition and looking for more experience.
The path gradually gets more tough as it rises rapidly over the slope of Khumbu Glacier. You will reach the peak of Thukla Pass after conquering the narrow ridge's tough hike. A large number of stone monuments honoring departed climbers may be seen in this region.
Following this pass, you will travel through green valleys and mountainous territory to reach Lobuche. The only permanent habitations in this village are teahouses. The striking views of high mountains just beside Tea houses will surround you. It is in a small valley situated between Khumbu Glacier and Lobuche Peak. You will be able to admire at Taboche and Nuptse's spectacular climb above the teahouse.
Enjoy the view while falling asleep comfortably early in the morning. The base camp of the tallest mountains in the world, Everest, is where you'll complete your adventure tomorrow

You should travel the challenging path for a number of hours before getting Gorak Shep. You will get your first view of Kala Patthar as you reach Gorak Shep. It is the peak of your trekking adventure. You soon arrive at the best viewpoint. You will forget all your problems when the sunlight goes through the tallest mountain. From the top, you can see Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Pumori, and many more of the world's tallest peaks, as well as the sunrise over the Himalayas.
After enjoying one of the greatest moment of your life it's time to return back to Gorak Shep, Lobuche and finnally from Dughla, choose a different path towards Pheriche along the Khumbu Khola. Once you get at Pheriche, head towards tea house and have a good sleep remembering the beautiful day that you have capture in your mind.
After completing your peak-climbing adventure, we return to Namche's Sherpa Town. The trail is indeed long. The vistas of the mountains continue. Therefore, pause sometimes to take in further beauties of the Everest area. Most of the day will be spent traveling through vast evergreen and rhododendron bushes. Rare animals including Himalayan mythological beasts, wild goats, musk deer, and wild turkeys could also be visible. We gently make our way to Namche from the settlements of Orsho, Somare, Pangboche, and Tengboche while admiring the mountains.
Take a nice shower once you reach Namche to complete the day. To enjoy fresh homemade baked goods or your favorite drink, you might request that to your guide to accompany you to nearby cafés.
Before approaching Lukla, where the walk comes to an end, you will pass a number of Buddhist temples, masonry walls, and chortens once the path turns back downhill. We just returned from an amazing week from EBC. This trip was amazing for 7 of us with Bharal adventure. This time with our sherpa, Mr mountain man, Suraj Dhakal. The journey 8 days trekking up and 3 days going down for 6-8 hours daily. Drinking 5 liters of water a day without showering for more than 5 days. Add to that is the difficulty in breathing and the freezing temperature (mind that we're from a tropical country). These are the struggles we had but are just nothing compared to the priceless overall experience. The very lovable Nepalese and their rich culture, the ice caps, the architecture, the landscapes and the animals we got to see. And experiencing the world's most dangerous airport and the precious feeling of seeing the world's highest mountains. I cannot recommend Mr Arjun, Mr Suraj and his team highly enough. His expertise, dedication, commitment, skill, kindness & sense of humour mark him out as a remarkable man - one to whom our group owe a huge debt of gratitude. Nepal has this slogan for Himalayas, "Once is not enough". No doubt that everybody would agree to this. Beautiful country with beautiful people. This place really deserves to be visited again!
Our journey started in 3 different cities in Malaysia, 6 travellers in all - Myself and my good friend Ray started out from Johor Bahru, Suk(the only female in our group) & Ricgen's journey started from Mallaca, the 4 of us met with See and Su in their home town of Kuala Lumpur, (KL) Malaysia. 6 of us met in KL and departed from KL international airport for Kathmandu Nepal. where Arjun Dhakal met us at the airport and we transferred to our hotel and finalised all details for the EBC trek. The next day we flew out to Lukla and this is where the real adventure began. The actual trip is a story for another time all I will say is that this adventure was absolutely amazing in fact so amazing that I'm contemplating doing ABC with Arjun next year sometime. Arjun and his team were very professional, his personable character allows for a very relaxed but very organised approach to everything during our trip. The EBC adventure was one of the most amazing adventures I have ever experienced I would add that this trip rates equal to The Kokoda trek I completed in Papua Nuigini. I want to express my gratitude to Arjun Dhakal and his team at Bharal adventures you were amazing and I would recommend this team to anyone interested in doing EBC Kind Regards & friends for life Gavin Page
An unforgettable journey to EBC on the 11-25 may 2018. Bharal adventure Arjun and the teams has made this happened and our dream come true. Looking forward to more adventures with you soon
After many searches on the internet, fate took me to contact Arjun, one of the founder of Bharal Adventure. After emailing for 2 months, I eventually took the trip to EBC. Arjun, despite being on the road or enroute to EBC always did his best to reply to my email or whatsapp and patiently responded to my question. He did that in between is trekking whenever he got internet access. This includes giving me a very good price for the trip. So, I took the trip in Apri to May 2018. I was met by Bharal Team at the Airport and took my hotel. The first impression was really good as the Team really looked after me well. They ensure everything was ok and constantly checking with me if everything was ok. They also ensure that I contact them if I needed assistance. I met Arjun the night before the trip. He is a very nice, pleasant and polite young man. He is very open to all the situations that I might face including the additional costs that might be incurred such as personal shopping, extra meals and coffees, tipping, etc. There were 5 of us in a group that trekked to EBC. We met at the airport in Kathmandu heading for Lukla. In Lukla, we were accompanied by 2 porters and 1 Sherpa and a group leader. So, there were 9 of us together as a team. The trip went very well despite we had to medivac 2 of our team members at Gorekshep. The Team organized the helicopter the night before and constantly in contact with their team member in Kathmandu to ensure our team members are looked after when they reached Kathmandu by helicopter. The rest of us, continued our trip to Cho La Pass and Gokyo Ri Lake. The view was fantastic. I promise myself, circumstances forbid, that I will be coming back and heading for higher altitudes. We completed the trip and along the way we built not only friendship with the entire team (including the sherpa and porters) but also a small family that travel and solve the issues together. When we arrived back at Lukla, we were stranded for 1 day due to bad weather. Our team leader ensured that we eat and sleep well and did his best through his connections to get us on the first flight the following day, despite we missed our original flight and there were many other passengers. In summary, the trip went very well and we were looked after extremely well by professional team of Bharal Adventure. My recommendation to potential clients of Bharal Adventure, if you have needs or concerns (including cost) please just be open to them. They are open, respected and young people who place trust and honesty very high in their business dealings.
Me and my friends did EBC trekking from 26 Nov to 7 Dec and we had the best experience with Arjun from Bharal Adventure. I am The Snail Queen and I am not a strong climber and hiker but Arjun and the porters Robin and Sham helped me a lot so I can fulfill my dreams to reach Everest Base Camp. Thanks A lot for making this a memorable journey, thank you for sharing your knowledge on all the mountains and thank you for really showing me Nepal and its people and wonderful nature and of cos the magnificent and majestic mountains . I definitely recommend the services from Bharal Adventure if you are looking for more than just a hiking trip but a memory that lasts a life time.
I write this review on behalf of my 73 year old mom who recently completed an EBC trek with Bharal. Arjun saw to every detail and took exceptional care of my mom and her friends. Arjun was patient, kind and thoughtful and made the trek a truly memorable one for my mom. She highly recommends Arjun and Bharal to anyone who's up for adventure in Nepal!
